Today Community Links and Human Empowerment Initiative held a consultative meeting to launch the GOTV IDP Voter Education Campaign, present at the programme were HRH. Sule Abenga JP the Ter Makurdi, Mr. Dominic Effiong Deputy Commissioner of Police Benue State , Engr. Nentawe Yilwatda Benue State INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Anthony Adukwu Director National Orientation Agency, representatives from NDI and camp chairpersons from all the IDP camps across the state as relevant stakeholders who are our targets in supporting and ensuring that Internally Displaced persons get equal rights to vote as citizens of the state, include them in governance and how they can participate in non-violent and credible elections. The consultative meeting discussed ways to facilitate IDPs voting and set a stage to guarantee that their votes count. The stakeholders unveiled and lunched the GOTV campaign. They also made meaningful contributions and commitment to support the campaign. The consultative meeting was intended to involve stakeholders as partners in the project implementation to orient and brief them on their responsibilities and prepare them for a more effective participation in the project.
